Book Blogger Hop October 29th – Nov 1st

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and find new blogs that we may be missing out on!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs that they may not know existed!  So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky at Crazy-For-Books!!

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don’t have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun!  This is a weekly event!

Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.

“What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?”

Yesterday morning I would have answered this question with “An ebook reader” but since I just ordered my Kindle yesterday and it should arrive in the next few hours, I guess that does not count as an answer any more….
But there is one thing I dream of already my whole life: To have my own bookstore! Not like one of these big chain ones but a nice old fashioned small one connected to a café… Something with old wooden shelves and lovely decoration and big comfortable chairs everywhere to sit down, read and have a coffee. If I would win the lottery, that would be the first thing I would do! I would try to read as much as possible, go on blogging about it and give lots of advice to my customers. I would love it to be really special so that customers feel well treated and see my bookstore as a place where they love to go and spend time not just buying books but experiencing everything that involves reading. have you ever watched the movie “You’ve got Mail”? The small bookstore that has to close in the end is kind of what I was thinking of except that my store would not specialise on a children books but would cover all kinds of genres.
You see, I have put a lot of thinking into this but unfortunately, I still have not won the Lottery….

That’s so exciting about your Kindle! I agree that I would absolutely love to run a quaint bookstore. If a career doesn’t work out, who knows, maybe I’ll try that! 🙂 Happy hopping.

  2. Yes, that is exactly what I would do with my bookish wish…run a bookstore. A wildly successful one. With just the good books.

    Hope you will Hop-back.

  3. Redhead says:

if you don’t have, or can’t have a bookstore, you know what the next best thing is?

being friends with people who own a bookstore. You get all of the perks (discounts, arcs, industry news) and none of the negatives (all that dusting!!).

my bookish dream is to have everything by my favorite Japanese author, Ai Yazawa, to be translated into English.

Just hoppin’ on by to say “Hi!” Your dream sounds wonderful!
    Have a fangtastic Halloween weekend!

  5. That is a really good way as well! I should start getting to know people who own bookstores around me! Does anyone know a nice little bookstore somewhere in South West London???
